CDs, DVDs, music cassettes, and vinyl records may be returned within 20 days of receipt of shipment. These items must be unopened and still in their plastic wrap. We will deduct a 15% restocking fee on all returned items with no defect. We do not refund shipping charges. Your name, address and order number will be required to process and refunds or returns.
All music and video items are guaranteed to play perfectly upon receipt. Any item which does not play perfectly may be returned, with prior authorization, for a replacement copy of the same item. You'll need to identify the defect (what the defect is and where it occurs) so we can follow up with the artist or label.
All returned items require a return authorization prior to their return. To acquire a return authorization, email customer service identifying the item, your Order ID and purchase with a description of the defect or other reason for return.
Note that all returned items must be in the same condition as when they were received, including the jewel box, liner notes, etc.
All instruments and other items (bubble machines, fog machines, etc.) may be returned for refund, credit or exchange within 10 days from date of receipt, provided it is in fully salable condition and returned with all packaging and accessories. Once you've recieved an RMA, repack the item securely (in its case or gigbag with all accessories included if included), and ship the item to us prepaid. We strongly recommend that you ship the item insured for its full value, as we cannot assume responsibility for damage incurred in shipment.
Music Outfitters cannot accept the return of items over 50 lbs after delivery. Upon delivery, please inspect your item carefully for damage while the shipper is still present. If you discover any damage, please refuse delivery and you will receive a refund. Your signature on our carrier's delivery receipt acknowledges that you understand our return policy. After the release form has been signed, returns of items over 50 lbs will not be accepted.
In the event of defective merchandise that is covered by a manufacturer's warranty, we will ask you to contact the manufacturer directly, as that is the most expeditious way to resolve the problem. In cases involving dropshipped items, we will normally ask you to return the item directly to the manufacturer. Unless an item was incorrectly shipped by us or is defective, the customer is responsible for return shipping and insurance charges.
Custom instruments, instruments or other items which have been modified by the customer or any agent of the customer, or by us at the customer's request, and items with damage not properly reported at the time of receipt, are not returnable. We reserve the right to repair any item returned with damage from excessive handling or other defect attributable to the customer that would render it, in our sole judgement, unsalable as new, and charge the customer for such work and/or reduction in selling price. Items returned after the 10-day evaluation period, or without an RMA, will be refused.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Health and sanitary regulations prohibit the exchange or return for credit of any mouth blown instrument. If the instrument you purchased is found to contain any defects in materials or workmanship, it must be returned, by the purchaser, to the manufacturer for adjustment.
