Orchestral Harmonicas from Hohner

Orchestral harmonicas are a group of chromatic instruments forms the background of every harmonica band. They're designed for accompaniment and special effects. Some are only played by blowing, while others use the standard harmonica blow and draw. Others have their reeds conveniently tuned and arranged for playing chords.

Vineta (Junior Chord)
This 24-hole junior chord accompaniment instrument plays an important part in harmonica bands. Providing the fundamental bass tones, with double bass reeds for the diatonic and the dominant (the first and fifth tones) of the major scales of F, C, and G and six tones in each of the tonic and dominant chords of the same keys. F is the subdominant in the key of C and c is the subdominant in the key of G. This provides the three principal chords that are use as an accompaniment to most of the songs you'll ever play.
