( DMHG-3 ) Mountain Dulcimer, 4 String, Hearts, Repaired
4 strings, rosewood body with spruce soundboard, hour-glass shape, heart shaped cutouts in soundboard. Most early dulcimers had a strictly diatonic scale; that is, the frets were placed so as to produce a major scale (do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do) with no extra half steps. This dulcimer has the 6 1/2 and the 13 1/2 frets. "-3" denotes a repair. Repaired cracked soundboard. They are New and Unused but are considered Second Quality. The irregularity does not affect the playability or sound quality of the instrument. As with any scratch & dent offer, these are a great value. Made in Pakistan. LIMITED QUANTITIES!

( OUDX-B-2 ) Egyptian Unadorned Oud, 12 Strings, Blemished
This oud has the classic tear-drop shape. The bowl and neck stave construction is accented with two different woods of alternating dark Mahogany and light Beech. The single oval sound hole has a rosette insert. The soundboard has a light finish. There are twelve strings in six courses of two each. The bridge is fixed. The nut to bridge measures approximately 23.25 inches. While not highly decorated, this is still a beautiful instrument. Over all dimensions are approximately 32 x 14 x 8 inches. This oud has the classic tear-drop shape. Solid Rosewood staves are used in the construction of the bowl and neck. The three round sound holes rimmed by simulated Mother of Pearl inlay. The inlay design is mirrored on the neck. The soundboard has a light finish. There are eleven strings in five courses of two and one single string (nylon and nylon wound). The bridge is fixed.
