Remo Spring DrumsRemo Spring Drums are an unbelievable percussion/special effects instrument all rolled into one fun package. Put the strap around your neck or over a shoulder, so the drum hangs horizontally in front of you. If you have never heard one you're in for a treat. This simple tube shaped instrument has a wire spring dangling from a synthetic Fiberskyn head. Even the most musically deprived will be able to make a variety of special effects sounds. Roll and shake it to create rumbling thunder. Strike it on the spring to get a thunder clap, or maybe that was laser fire from Captain Kirk! Drag a stick along the spring to change the sound yet again. Tap and rap the opposite head to add dramatic beats. You can vary the pitch by putting your hand over the opening in the center of the drum body. A must have item; too much fun to only have one. The possible combinations or reeds of can produce hundreds of sounds. The male shruti has a deeper sound than the female. To play, open one or more reeds by pushing the toggle to the side, unlatch the integral bellows and unlatch the reeded side.
