Tacked Bodhrans
Fixed Head Bodhrans

Tacked Bodhrans. These bodhrans have nails around the wood rim to hold the skin (head) in place. A tacked bodhran is tuned either by wetting the skin to lower head tension and pitch, or heating the skin gently to increase head tension and raise the drums pitch.
