Musical BellsMusical Bells and gongs, often in combination with drums and other musical instruments, have long been used to accompany the dance, and jingling-type bells often adorned the dancers themselves. Cow bells are also heavily used in various forms of dance music. Cow bells were a staple of disco songs, and appear frequently in freestyle and latin music. Camel bells can be found in a number of styles of percussive music, as well as being used where cow bells would othewrwise be used. Clam bells are sometimes called dancing bells or ankle bells, as they are often found on the ankles of dancers, particlularly in Middle eastern and Indian music. The bells accent the dancers movements. Elephant bells are ceremonial bells from India that have a very unusual sound, normally grouped in sets of 5 or 6 of graduating sizes. |
