Ashikos

Ashikos are a traditional West African drum that is often played in the Djembe circles. With a goatskin head, ashikos can have a crisp, sharp sound much like djembes. With a deer skin head ashikos can have a warmer tone similar to a conga. Ashikos are a great choice for the Djembe player who wants something different. For the beginner or expert who wants a smaller drum, the 8" X 15" and 9" X 20" ashikos are lighter and more portable that a full sized drum.
